Now strip the outer casing from the wire on
the outer side of the other rail, approximately
1/4 of an inch from the end.

Pull off the outer casing from the end of the
wire that was scored by the wire stripper.

Using the needle nose pliers, bend the solid
strand away from you at a 90 degree angle
where the bare metal begins.

Then take the needle nose pliers again and
bend the same solid strand to the right at an-
other 90 degree angle. When finished, your
wire should look like the three dimensional
image in Figure 1.
