Take the soldering iron and dip the tip into the
flux.
Once you’ve done that, touch the tip of the
soldering iron to the tip of your unwound sol-
der.
Touch the tip of the soldering iron to the bare
metal of the solid strand wire, allowing the
flux to pull the melted solder into it and fill in
the area between the rail and the wire.
Pull away the soldering iron and allow the sol-
der to harden.
You will need to make sure that no solder got on the top of the rails as this will affect the conti-
nuity of the rails. Now your rail joiners are soldered into the rails and your tracks are wired for
electricity. *
