Be careful not to crush your wires as the strip-
per can snap back once you release the han-
dles.
Pinch the exposed metal wires between your
fingers and twist them. This will help prevent
them from fraying as you apply the solder to
them.
Dip the twisted metal wire into your flux. The
purpose of flux is to reduce the surface tension
between the solder and the metal enabling the
melted solder to flow better and coat more
evenly.
Touch the tip of your hot soldering iron to the
flux.
