ball diamond, football/soccer field and a
track. The school building was constructed
from left over parts from the Kibri kits used
to make the factory and parts from a Life Like
brand prison kit. This prison kit had been la-
beled as N scale, but in a side by side compar-
ison, it is actually Z scale.
The convenience store, the gas station, and
Paco’s Tacos are all resin kits from Randy
Brown (AMS). There are a couple of four
family apartment buildings purchased from
Time Cast. On the opposite end of the layout
from the factory is a hill where two more
houses reside and overlook the gully and the
railroad tracks. Wouldn’t that be a railfan’s
dream? These buildings, as well as the ga-
rage that accompanies them, are resin and
were purchased of off ebay. As they often do, View 27
these houses on the hill have a dual purpose:
the hill that they reside on hides the box that
houses the Märklin switching boxes.
There’s a bridge that runs over the gully
near the convenience store that carries the
miniature society to and from their daily
lives. This bridge is made from basswood
sheeting for the decking, styrene I beams and
N scale styrene ladders for the railings.
