History Lost Abutment

One last railroad abutment is left in Ourtown, WI, located just south of Ourtown Road on
the east side of the Onion River. Historically, the plan was to have a railroad line going through
Ourtown, WI. The abutments were built ahead of the line, along with the grading. The west
abutment was demolished to make way for the the new Ourtown Road bridge, but the abutment
on the east side of the river still exists.
