The outer line of the inner segment near-
est the stairwell follows parallel to the neigh-
boring track across the walk path. These
tracks open into Watts Yard. This conver-
sion yard mixes a standard line with the lines
of one of the club’s traction and trolley sec-
tions. Across the multiple tracks we see the
details just pop. Electrical poles shoot up

the lines are settled platforms with railings
while catenaries zig and zag above the rails.
To the inside of the yard trackage is a row
of buildings that faces in towards the center
of the layout. Two standard mainlines and
one electrified line emerge from the yard.
The electrified line takes a tight left, the oth-
er two take the farther out scenic route
through Lone Lake. Here they pass behind a
stockyard filled with animals before crossing
over a road at the bend before hitting the
straightaway that leads back to Chippewa.
