As the tracks move on past the coal mine,
the scene drops a little to the left. Being his-
torically accurate, out in the countryside sits a
lone moonshine still. One wonders if it be-
longs to the inhabitants of the homestead that
resides right up to it. As the railroad tracks
begin their turn to the right, around Puddin’
Ridge, it passes a farm housing horses and
other livestock. Men, presumably done

working for the day, sit chewing the fat on
the porch of the simple house on the proper-
ty. A dirt road runs along the edge, ruts from
the tires of the few cars that would have been
available around this time.
