In celebration of Nebraska’s Sesquicentennial,
a Union Pacific Streamliner will be conduct-
ing a “Whistlestop Tour” consisting of seven

stops from August 4 -6 , 2017. The locomo-
tive will depart from Omaha and will travel to
Columbus, North Platte, Ogallala, Sidney,
Gering, Kearney and Grand Island. Each of
these communities will be hosting a rally to
welcome passengers, which may include na-
tive celebrities.

Milwaukee Streetcar construction begins
April, 2017 on W. St. Paul Avenue in Mil-
waukee, Wisconsin. The first streetcar, which
is to be built by Brookville Equipment Corp. CON-COR
is scheduled to arrive in Milwaukee in De-
cember, 2017. The initial downtown route is
expected to open in fall 2018, with the lake- HO & N Scale
front line to start in 2019.
