The Allis Station, tucked
neatly underneath the elevated
tracks previously owned by
The Milwaukee Road is the
definition of a diamond in the
rough. This particular station,
located on National Avenue in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin is the
best kept local model railroad-
ing secret around. Even those
that know that this club and
layout exist may not fully com-
prehend how deeply its roots
are buried in the hobby that we
hold so dear.
The first thing you need to
know is that The Model Rail-
road Club of Milwaukee, resi-
dents of the Allis Station, is
one of the oldest clubs in the
United States. Although they
can trace their origins back to
1933, they have been headquar-
tered out of this location since

1936, longer than any other
model railroad club in the
country.
